ELC :: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE FUTURE OF CRITTENDEN COUNTY – AUGUST 11, 2026 – ASU MidSouth

Executive Leadership Crittenden’s latest session focused on Economic Development & the Future of Crittenden County, bringing together established and emerging leaders for conversations on workforce, education, industry, entrepreneurship, and quality of life. The cohort heard from Ward Wimbish of WM Economic Development, Dr. Shayla Kolheim of Google, and Jeff Gray of ASU Mid-South before touring the Google data center build site with Turner Construction and the Google team. The day also included an Extreme Ownership book discussion led by ELC Leadership Chair Jonathan Cardwell, Chick-fil-A West Memphis Owner/Operator, and a hands-on Crittenden County Think Lab where the cohort developed ideas around key opportunities for the region.

LEADERSHIP KICKOFF WEEKEND :: JULY 24-26, 2026

What an incredible Leadership Weekend with our Executive Leadership Crittenden cohort and Crittenden Rising Leaders Collective!

We kicked off last weekend at Brownstone Country Club & Resort with networking, introductions, and an inspiring fireside chat featuring entrepreneur and businessman Dee Brown and moderated by Arienne Thompson Plourde of Google.

Our Executive Leadership cohort spent Saturday at Great River Lodge for a full-day retreat featuring workshops from Uplift Coaching & Consulting and Dr. M.J. McConner. The day began with a clay shooting experience that challenged leaders to step outside their

comfort zones and build stronger connections.

On Sunday, our Rising Leaders Collective enjoyed an afternoon retreat at Topgolf Memphis featuring a workshop from Uplift Coaching & Consulting founder Reggie Davis, followed by two hours of golf play focused on teamwork, connection, and fun.
